What you'll do:
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Build and maintain automation tests on all internal platforms and products
- Proactively report bugs so that the developers can fix it and work towards development of automated regression test suites
- Work on monitoring the quality of the products and provide insights on the issues raised
- Ensure the tested solutions complies with highest testing standards
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools (Selenium)
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Monitor debugging process results
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Act as a key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally
- Responsible for designing and developing automated tools or frameworks
- Responsible for writing automation testing scripts
What makes you a great fit:
- BE/B Tech/M Tech/MCA in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed college with 5-7 years of experience as a QA engineer/tester
- Experience in writing test plans and being a part of the entire software development lifecycle
- Mandatory Experience in Automation testing like Selenium
- Experience in designing and writing automation testing scripts
- Hands-on experience with both white box, black box testing, UAT, and regression testing
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and manual testing
- Experience in Selenium, Appium, and Rest Assured (Java/Python) will be an added advantage
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Knowledge of any version control system (e.g., SVN, git)
- Experience in developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Experience in manual and automation testing
- Knowledge of API and Database testing is a plus
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of QA engineers
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
