Lead Engineer - Backend

What will you do:

• As a lead engineer, you will lead and grow projects from end to end by building backend architect, writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
• Lead technical discussions within the team and be the go-to person for the team for guidance and troubleshooting.
• Partner with product, data, finance, compliance and operations to develop systems as per business and regulatory requirement.
• Learn and adapt to new technology implemented to support our core business
• Understand key Business and Engineering metrics around performance, quality and availability and work regularly with the team to push the boundaries and improve them periodically.
• Foster and build a culture of actively engaging team members in architecture and design discussions
• Set up solid process and practices around code quality, conventions and documentation.

What makes you a great fit: 

• 7+ years of technical experience and passionate about scaling the Fintech system.
• Hands-on and deep experience building applications and expert level proficiency in modern programming languages like JAVA along with Spring & Microservices.
• Strong expertise on design patterns, data structures & architecture.
• Expertise in all common AWS Cloud technologies, Knowledge of CI/CD tools and workflows
• Proven track record in building highly-available and scalable distributed systems
• Independent, dedicated, and able to deliver production ready code with high autonomy and minimal guidance.
• Well-structured, easily maintainable, well-documented code that balances beauty and pragmatism.
• Experience developing best practices to build out and maintain scalable systems, service oriented applications, and more.
• Lending, Payments and/or risk experience are a plus, but not required.
