• Create new data validation methods and data analysis tools
• Build, test, and maintain database pipeline architectures
• Create automated anomaly detection systems, reports, dashboards for constant tracking of data quality
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies
• Interview various stakeholders to understand their ecosystem along with its gaps & issues
• Create documents around as-is, gaps / issues and to-be state of various data systems
• Passion for working with data - data processing, data storage, data visualization, data quality, data infrastructure, security. Working knowledge of different tools and technology in this regard
• Adept in working with databases and query languages common data engineering toolkits.
• Excellence in at least one is highly desirable,
• Data Querying: RDBMS (Oracle/MS SQL/any other),
• Data Storage: HDFS, S3, Parquet, Avro, ORC, Compression
• Data Pipelines Orchestrator: SSIS, Airflow, Oozie
• Experience in working with Relational and non-relational databases to develop and manage ETL (extract, transform, and load) processes / systems
• Understanding of different data storage methods and applications
• Familiarity with Machine Learning tools to build and automate algorithms to monitor data quality
• Strong analytical skills involving the ability to collect, organize, analyze, identify patterns and translate into business insights with attention to detail and accuracy
• Good scripting and programming skill
