Backend Developer

What You'll Do :

You'll design and build scalable systems to be used by millions of farmers and agribusinesses

You'll work on building progressive web apps forked-off open-source frameworks that work equally well on low-end devices, low bandwidth networks, and even offline.

Youll work with spatial imagery data to build map-based solutions for farmers and businesses • We believe in a small and effective team - you'll have a say in what to build and then own it

Youll work with Android/web developers to develop backend services that meet their needs

We are paranoid about performance - you'll investigate performance/scalability bottlenecks and existing queries, and/or write new queries with performance optimization in mind

Identify libraries and technologies that solve our problems and/or are worth experimentation.

What Makes You A Great Fit :

Have experience in setting up the full dev workflow - right from Dev, Test, Build to Deployment

Have to command over one language - preferably Python, else Java/JS/ Ruby - including debugging and performance analysis

Have a clear understanding of databases - Relational and Non Relational - their data models and performance tradeoffs; experience designing database and querying to optimize performance

Have experience developing web apps with at least one framework (Django, Flask, RoR, etc)

Have hands-on experience with caching techniques and utilities like Memcache / Redis

Have experience implementing and deploying distributed systems on AWS/ GCP etc.

Have a clear understanding of data structures and algorithms
