Job Description

What you'll do:

  • Design and build applications for the Android platform
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Able to select between the best UI/UX alternatives and implement them.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Analyze the customer behaviour on the app by tracking major events.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Proficient with Java (Some experience with Kotlin is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
  • Experience on having built and deployed at least one production quality app available on the Play Store
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
  • Experience at offline + online customer facing platforms is preferred
  • Experience of App analytics and A/B testing is recommended.
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
  • Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
